The Adamsdown Community Project is an exciting example of residents working with local organisations and service providers towards the regeneration of Adamsdown, an inner city area of Cardiff. This is through involvement in identifying issues, building upon the strengths and resources of the community and the development of action plans. As a result, there are lots of activities going on within the project and all are open to and need local resodents to drive them forward. These are co-ordinated through the work of the Adamsdown Forum, supported by a partnership between Cardiff Community Housing Association and the Scarman Trust. The project has received funding support from the partnership, the Welsh Assembly Government, Lloyds TSB, the Community Fund and European Regional Development Funds, with research support from Cardiff University.
